Planet Walk Colorado Springs is a group of volunteers that are all dedication to this common mission.
THE MISSION.
With your sponsorships and donations, we can achieve our goal of bringing the Planet Walk to Colorado Springs, Colorado. Together, we will design and construct a scale model of our solar system, available and accessible to the public in Colorado Springs, Colorado, USA, Earth.
THE PLAN.
1.
Formulate conceptual designs

Select best design in concert with the City of Colorado Springs decision makers
3.
Prepare complete design, again in concert with City agencies.
4.
Solicit proposals to construct the Planet Walk
5.
Select the most responsive bidder
6.
Obtain necessary permits and clearances.
7.
Construct sun and planet models, signages beginning at America the Beautiful Park and proceeding north along the Santa Fe Trail.
8.
Provide adequate operation and maintenance endowment for the project

Present the Planet Walk to the City

As Colorado Springs strengthens its ties to science, the PWCS team plans on growing the city's involvement even further. The project intends to have great effects on its community,
Instill Awareness
The project will stimulate additional interest in science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics (STEAM) within the community.
Appreciate Beauty
By installing the model on public trails, the public's awareness of the beautiful Colorado Springs' trail network will grow.
Broaden Horizons
The Planet Walk has the unique opportunity to support increased tourism in Colorado Springs as the new home of the US Space Force.
